About

Our Mission

IMG_6827.JPG

Somaśāstra is a space dedicated to bringing people back to their true nature. Meant to act as a reminder of your true power and innate primordial wisdom within your own body.

Remembering that this wisdom never left, we all have the capacity to heal our own bodies.

Our job is to act as a guide along that journey.

The Meaning Behind Soma Sastra

Soma is life itself. In the ancient Vedic tradition, soma was the sacred drink of the gods — the nectar that was only taken during ritual and ceremony. But soma is not merely myth. It is the living essence that moves through every breath, every cell, every moment of conscious embodiment.

In Ayurveda, soma finds its home in tvac — the skin, the boundary where inner world meets outer. Tvac is not simply a surface; it is a living threshold, the vessel that holds and protects the soma. Every layer of skin is a keeper of this essence. Our human vessels are sacred. Each cell of our bodies radiantly alive-- our skin as the sacred holder of our soma, the pure essence of our existence. To exist is to experience this soma. It's what we're made of.

In a modern world that has a way of pulling us away from this remembering, the goal of somasastra is to lead you back to that primordial bliss that is our birthright. To allow you the space and support to remember your body's intelligence and rediscover balance, rhythm, and the radiant vitality that is our birthright.

Meet Zoe

Zoe is an Ayurvedic health practitioner and a yoga teacher, currently working toward her certification as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist.

She discovered Ayurveda after years of struggling with illness, dis-ease in her body, and chronic gut health issues. After a very brief time of integrating simple Ayurvedic practices, her symptoms almost completely cleared. Naturally, she was intriuged and pursued a formal education to learn how she can help to heal those around her, understand illness to a deeper extent and bring her loved ones back into balance.

Now, practicing with clients, with a passion for bringing this healing into others lives, and for gaining a deeper understanding of the human body and our innate connection to nature.
